Our Story
An individual’s funeral or memorial service represents a unique opportunity to celebrate the life of a loved one; the memories you have, the values they projected, and the accomplishments they achieved. The service also serves an important part of the grieving process. There is no typical service. Each family has its own special needs, customs, and traditions. We are committed to helping you create a meaningful service which is the most appropriate for you.
Our funeral directors and staff are dedicated to assist you in choosing the music, clothing, flowers and any other essentials that are right for your needs. No matter what your situation or desire, we are here to help you – before, during and after the funeral service.
Each family we serve has their own unique needs. That’s why we offer a wide range of services, and why we listen to your desires when arranging a service. We strive for your utmost satisfaction and we feel that will be the case when you have the opportunity to choose exactly the type of services you prefer.
Burial Service Options
Several options are available for those who prefer a traditional burial service. A few of these options include a complete funeral service at the funeral home or place of worship with burial to follow; graveside memorial service; and finally, immediate burial with no services. While these only cover the general types of burial services, your choices are not required to fit exactly into any particular category.
Cremation Service Option
Cremation is the process of reducing the body to bone fragments through the application of intense heat. The remaining fragments are then processed into finer substance and placed in a temporary container. Several options are available for those who prefer cremation replacing burial; immediate cremation with a memorial; and finally, immediate cremation services, your choices are not required to fit exactly into any particular category. There are literally Options within Options available to provide a meaningful service of remembrance.
Traditional Full Service Funeral
This service selection would include a complete funeral service at your place of worship or the funeral home. The funeral typically is preceded by a period of visitation at the funeral home. During this time and before the service the casket may be open or closed, according to the preferences or the survivors. Some may opt to receive friends at the residence or other location, which is another matter of personal feeling and choice. Following the funeral, the body is then transported to the cemetery of choice for burial.
Graveside Funeral Service
A graveside service, like a funeral, is a service of remembrance; only a graveside is fully conducted at the cemetery. Your funeral director can assist in planning and organizing the service, and provide the necessary staff to direct the service. The family may hold a visitation or gathering at the funeral home with or without the presence of the body. Usually a memorial table can be attractively arranged with flowers, photographs or memorabilia of the person.
Online Memorial
We can create a customized, online memorial for you to share with family and friends. The memorial includes the obituary and any photographs you wish to provide. It will serve as a place for visitors to post condolences, share memories, upload photos, and light candles in honor of your loved one.
Tribute Video
We can produce a personal tribute video that can be played at the service and online. Simply provide us with the photographs you want to include and we will transform them into a video celebration of your treasured memories. DVDs or digital files of the video are also available.
Ordering Flowers
We make it easy for friends and family to send flowers to your home or service to honor your loved one. We have partnered with local florists to offer the convenience of ordering directly from the obituary page of our website. You can also use this feature to select the flowers you would like at the service. This is a secure way to choose beautiful arrangements from the privacy and comfort of your home.
Sharing Service Details
We reduce the stress of contacting those who need the details of the service for your loved one. We post the dates and times of the service as part of the online memorial on our website. You can then either share the memorial on your Facebook or Twitter page or copy the details from the site into an email or text. Both options give you the peace of mind that you have provided the necessary information to those who need it.
