Wyatt Darnell Sisson Pilgrim, age 12, of Cedartown, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009. He was born January 2, 1997 in Rome, Georgia.
Wyatt was a seventh grade student at Cedartown Middle School.
Wyatt was a beloved son, brother, nephew, and grandson. He was unique and a very special child. His personality was amazing; kind, giving, humble, meek, shy, smart, understanding, gentle and full of a kind of love that is very rare.
Wyatt and Lanoria had a special bond. They were siblings, but were also truly best friends.
In his young life, Wyatt had a strong passion for life and had committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Following Jesus' command, Wyatt loved and cared for everyone.
Wyatt Pilgrim is survived by mother, Stacey Sisson; sister, Lanoria Sisson; grandmother, Brenda Brown; grandfather, David Brown; uncle, Joel Sisson; father, James Pilgrim.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, September 24, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church in Cedartown with Rev. John Prater and Rev. Sammy Stephens officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
The burial service will be conducted at Pleasant Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Silver Creek with Rev. Bill Heaton officiating at the graveside.
Pallbearers are Chad Terry, Rick Googe, David Brown, Jack Smith, John Clouatre, and Marc Clouatre. Honorary pallbearers are his seventh grade classmates at Cedartown Middle School.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.
