Mrs. Wilma Sue Marble Perry, age 83 of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017. She was born on March 10, 1934 in Gadsden, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Nickleson Marble.
Sue loved her family and also her community. She served her community for many years working as a nurse in local Alabama hospitals both at Gadsden and East Gadsden Clinic as a staff nurse. In Georgia, she worked at both McCall Hospital and Floyd Hospital as a surgical technician and as a staff nurse at The Georgia School for the Deaf. She loved caring for all people, but especially for children. Sue and husband Jim were married for 54 years. Sue cherished her time with her Christian friends at the churches she attended and is now for sure enjoying her time with Jesus in Heaven.
Mrs. Perry is survived by her loving husband, James "Jim" Perry; sister, Jo Anne Marble Locke; brother, Leslie Lee (Wesley) Marble; and grandchildren, James William Scott Perry and Emmalyne "Emme" Rose Perry.
Mrs. Perry is preceded in death by her parents; son, James Joel "Scott" Perry; brothers, William Marble, James Allen Marble, Larry Wayne Marble and nephew, Steven W. Marble.
The arrangements for Mrs. Wilma Sue Marble Perry include a visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 with a funeral service starting at 6:00 on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Cave Spring United Methodist Church in Cave Spring, Georgia. A second visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church in Winfield, Alabama from 12:00 noon to 2:00 with a funeral service starting at 2:00. Her interment will follow later in the week in Crestwood Cemetery in Gadsden, Alabama.
