Ms. Wilma Louise Hunter, age 78, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009. She was born January 12, 1931 in Rome to parents, the late Matthew and Pluma Bowers.
Ms. Hunter retired with an excess of thirty years employment with the Polk County Tax Commissioner's office where she served was Deputy Tax Commissioner.
Ms. Louise Hunter was preceded in death by son Michael Gordon Hunter; seven brothers and sisters.
Ms. Hunter is survived by children and their spouses, Karen Hunter Smith and Robbie Dewey Smith, Richard Glen Hunter and Jillian Williams Hunter. Grandchildren, Lynn Bartlett, Amanda Lea Gallant, Joshua Hunter, Matt Hunter, Brett Hunter; great grandchild, Brandi Nunis; several Nieces and Nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, July 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Bob Hoffmann officiating. The interment will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Rome.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 2nd, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
