Mrs. Willie J. Reddish Ayers, age 91, of Cedartown passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2007. She was born June 24, 1916 in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

Mrs. Ayers is preceded in death by husband, Mr. Herschel William Ayers; sons, Eugene Talmadge Ayers and Burl Herschel Ayers; parents, Mr. Jim and Rinde Fowler Reddish; and twelve brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Willie J. Ayers is survived by daughter, Shirley Ayers Phillips and son, Donald Edward Ayers. Fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 20, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mrs. Willie Ayers will be conducted on Wednesday, November 21 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Dr. Larry Conner and Rev. Kevin Patterson officiating. Interment to follow in Buchanan City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Danny Ayers, Wayne Ayers, Tommy Clark, Danny George, Chase Patterson, Kame Patterson, Bobby Woody, Allen Warren and Bryan Ayers.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Willie J. Reddish Ayers.
