Obituary

Mr. William Herman Youngblood, age 85, of Cedartown passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. He was born April 29, 1924 in Rome, Georgia, the son of Ed and Lottie Dollar Youngblood.

He was a veteran of the United States Army. Mr. Youngblood was a retiree from the Atlanta Gas Light Company where he was serviceman and Service Department Manager.

His parents and a brother, Morris Wood Youngblood, precede him in death.

Mr. Herman Youngblood is survived by wife, Martha Mullinax Youngblood; daughters, Joy Johnson and Pam Woods; sons, Bill Youngblood and Paul Youngblood. Grandchildren, Amanda Lee, Russ Henderson and Chris Henderson; six great-grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. William Herman Youngblood will be conducted on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Rebecca Holmes and Rev. John Giglio officiating. The interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The American Legion Post #86 Honor Guard will conduct military honors.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 10th, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Russ Henderson, Chris Henderson, Gene Henderson, Don Dishong, Ricky Roberson, Scott Reynolds, Don Mullinax, and Gary Johnson.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mr. William Herman Youngblood.
