Mr. William Robert Rowell, Sr. "W.R.", age 95 of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, June 10, 2016. He was born on February 20, 1921 in Buchannan, Georgia. He was the son of the late Jessie Melvin Rowell and Nancey Tanner Rowell.

Mr. Rowell is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Mae Rowell; parents; sisters, Mozelle Cammons and Annie Mae Butler; brother, Winfred B. Rowell; and son-in-law, Al Hunt.

Mr. Rowell is survived by his daughter, Brenda Hunt; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Patti Rowell; sister, Margie Heard; grandchildren, LaDalle Macgregor (Jeff), Brendan Hunt (Mary), Amber Jackson (Chad), and Abbye Floyd (Zack); great-grandchildren, Auburn Hunt, Jack Hunt, Olivia Macgregor, Camden Jackson and Kaelin Jackson.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. William Robert Rowell, Sr. will be conducted on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Mr. Kenneth Rowell speaking and Dr. Steve Fetkenhour officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery. Full Military Rites will be conducted by the Brewster-Cleveland American Legion Post #86.

The family of Mr. Rowell will receive family and friends on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home. The family will be at 302 Spruce St. Cedartown, Georgia for other receiving hours.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Jim McWilliams, Jeff Collier, Jake Collier, Chad Jackson, Brendan Hunt, and Jeff Macgregor.

The Senior Men's Sunday School Class of Second Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
