Mr. William Robert Hulsey, Sr., age 88 of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014. He was born on July 31, 1926 in Polk County. He was the son of the late William Copeland and Minnie Lee Tracy Hulsey.
Mr. Hulsey was a United States Army Veteran serving in WWII.
Mr. Hulsey is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Copeland and Anna Robles Hulsey; sister, Madeline Howard; grandchildren, Kelly Jane Hulsey, Jerris Hulsey, Shirley Hulsey and Minnie Hulsey and niece, Jeanette Winslett.
Mr. Hulsey is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Wylene Dooley Hulsey; son, William Robert Hulsey, Jr.; sisters, Nina Valenin Hulsey Bridges, Mary Louise Hulsey Brown, Betty Bell Hulsey Hamrick and Amilee Hulsey Williams and brothers, Wilmer Copeland Hulsey and Rev. James Samuel Seals Hulsey.
The funeral arrangements for Mr. Hulsey will be conducted on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Wright officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery with Full Military Rites conducted by the Brewster-Cleveland America Legion Honor Guard Post # 86 and Full Masonic Rites by the Caledonia Lodge #121.
The family of Mr. Hulsey will receive family and friends on Sunday, October 5, 2014 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; James Hamrick, Phillip Howard, Jimmy Swafford, Don Howerton, Clyde Runyon and Jesse Blansit. Honorary pallbearers will be Masonic Brothers and past and present Southern Bell and AT&T employees.
