Mr. William Albert Elder, age 68, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 after an extended illness. He was born on March 14, 1942 in Haralson County, Georgia to Orth Elder and Leders Carnes Elder.

Mr. Elder is survived by wife, Bobbie S. Elder; son and daughter-in-law, Brad & Jennae Elder; daughter, Deirdra Wood; brother, Willard Elder, and three grandchildren, Griffin Elder, Michael Wood, and Dustin Wood.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Orth Elder and Leders Carnes Elder; sisters, Tretha Piccione, Opal Jackson, Shirley Jones; and brother, Glenn Elder.

The funeral service for Mr. William Albert Elder will be conducted on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 17, 2011 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

Raiford Gentry, Paul Dempsey, Scott Grogan, Mike Lester, James Bunch, and Bart Forrister will serve as Pallbearers.
