Obituary

Mr. William Glenn Durham, known to some as "Chief" or "Whiskers", age 88, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Friday, October 31, 2008. He was born November 27, 1919 in Rising Fawn, GA, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel A. Durham.

He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Family survivors include Daughter, Betty Pyles; Sons and Daughters-in-law, Thomas and Pam Brown, Bill and Julia Durham; Several Brothers and Sisters; Grandchildren, Glenn and Linda Norman, Lonny Norman, Mark Durham, Steve Durham, Tyson Durham, Wanda Williams, Rebecca Durham, Wesley Brown, Crystal Brown, Candice Brown, Katie Brown, Jesse Brown, and Keith Pyle. Mr. Durham is also survived by several Great-Grandchildren, with speical mention of Joanna Puckett and Glenn Norman, Jr. and several Nieces and Nephews.

Mr. Durham is preceded in death by Sons, Marvin Durham and Wayne Durham; Wives, Catherine Irene Brown Durham and Martha Helen Durham; Parents, Verga Mae McIntyre Durham and Samuel A. Durham. Mr. Durham is also preceded in death by several Brothers and Sisters.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 1, 2008 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The funeral service for Mr. William G. Durham will be conducted on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Corey Smith officiating and Mr. Max Cook speaking. Interment will follow in the Lee's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
