Mr. William Forrest Dawson, age 94, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2009.

Mr. Dawson is survived by wife, Alline Moody Dawson; daughter, Marie Dawson Hackney; and brother, Cobby Dawson; special niece and nephew, Vivian and John Miske. Six grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

He is preceded in death by parents, John Cobb Dawson and Margaret Curry Dawson; son, Raymond Earl Dawson; sisters, Jeanette Chandler, Elizabeth Ballew, Bettey Ingram; and brothers, James Leo Dawson, Doyle Dawson, and Earl Bud Dawson.

The funeral service for Mr. Dawson will be conducted on Saturday, May 30, 2009, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Rebecca Holmes and Rev. Billy Frasier officiating.

The interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Charles Himes, Bob Peppers, Danny O'Neal, John David "Bubba" Jolly, Charles Shiflett, and Jason O'Neal.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, May 30th, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.
