Mr. William H. 'Billy' Peace, age 82, of Cedartown passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010. He was born December 13, 1927 in Polk County, the son of Memory Euell Peace and Mae Bell Rainwater Peace (both deceased).

Mr. Peace served his country during World War II in the Asian Theatre in the Occupational Forces
in Japan. He was retired from Henkle Corporation.

Mr. William H. 'Billy' Peace is survived by wife of fifty-six years, Shirley Ann Jolly Peace; daughters, Holly Gail Robinson and Tessie Peace; son, William Henry Peace, Jr; sister, Rossie Johnson. Also surviving are grandchildren, Matthew David Robinson, Rossie Peace Robinson,
Dr. Anna Cathleen Robinson, Sam Firoozi, and Ahpahmeh Firoozi.

Along with his parents Mr. Peace is preceded in death by sisters, Edna Galloway and Annie Lou Peace; brothers, Memory Euell Peace, Jr., Robert Seals Peace, and Joseph Norman Peace.

The funeral service for Mr. William H. 'Billy' Peace will be conducted on Sunday, April 11th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Sloman officiating. Interment service and burial will follow in the Northview Cemetery with the American Legion Post #86 Honor Guard conducting full military rites.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 10th, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are John Brewster, Gary Broster, Caleb Broster, Eric Ellenberg, Duane Rutledge, and Bahman Firoozi.
