Mr. Wendle Neal Hayes, age 72 of Rockmart, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014. He was born on March 26, 1942 in Dallas, GA. He was the son of the late Ronald Neal Hayes and Essie Gertrude Hicks Hayes.

Mr. Hayes is survived by his daughter, Melissa Mengel; granddaughter, Renee Smith and five great-grandchildren.

Mr. Hayes is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vassie Ann Dyer Hayes; sisters, Faye Hayes, Oreta Hayes, Fern Heath and Kay White; brother, Noal Hayes and granddaughter, Elizabeth Haney.

In keeping with Mr. Hayes' wishes he was cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date and time.
