**Waymond "Hank" O'Neal passed away on November 3, 2014.

Waymond "Hank" O'Neal will be returning home to his beloved Cedartown, Georgia on February 28, 2015 for his burial. During his final days he expressed a longing to return home to Cedartown.

Hank was a beloved Physical Education Teacher in Miami-Dade County for forty years. He loved students and shared many locker room incidents with friends and family. At his service in Miami, so many spoke about how "Coach" influenced their lives. He taught Physical Education at the same school for his entire teaching career, often coaching games against his brother, Donald O'Neal. He was actively engaged with Special Olympics and Special Education students during his last few years of teaching.

Prior to becoming a teacher, he served in the United States Air Force. During his military career he was with the Air Police at Eglin Air Force Base. Upon leaving the military he became a player manager with the Washington Senators professional baseball organization. His baseball stats were very impressive although he seldom spoke of them. He spent three seasons in the minor leagues, from 1955-1957, and his career batting average was .298, 32 home runs, 130 RBI's and his fielding percentage was .983.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 28 years, his brothers, L.C. O'Neal and Donald O'Neal, three step- children, their spouses, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services celebrating the life of Coach O'Neal will be held at Gammage Funeral Home on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at two o'clock in the afternoon. Interment will follow at Polk Gardens on Rockmart Road.
