Ms. Wanda Ruth Rutledge Steed, age 61, of Cave Spring, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2013. She was born on March 19, 1951 in Cedartown, Georgia. She earned her master's degree and was a RN nurse working for the state of Georgia in the Mental Health field.

Ms. Steed is survived by her daughters, Missy Puckett and Jennie Gregg; grandchildren, Landen Gregg and Jolie and Dalton Puckett; and special friend, Ralph Miller.

Ms. Steed is preceded in death by her father Minnie L. Rutledge and mother Lillie Bell Rutledge (Miller); husband, Joseph Price Steed; Sisters, Gladys Porter and Brenda Conner; brothers, Bill Rutledge, Benny Rutledge, and Roy Rutledge; and several step brothers and sisters; and special friend Norma Nash.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Steed will be conducted on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at three o'clock in the afternoon in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Connell officiating.

Interment will follow in the Jackson Chapel Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Steed will receive family and friends on Sunday, February 17, 2013 from one o'clock in the afternoon until three o'clock in the afternoon at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Dewey Rutledge, Dee Pruitt, Gregg Townsend, Mark Smith, Pat Casey and Dalton Puckett. Honorary pallbearer will be Mike Shaw.
