Mr. Wallace Clarence Gray, age 76, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011. He was born on August 14, 1934 in Cedartown; the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J.T. and Aline Pierce Gray.

Mr. Gray worked at Southern Rail Road for eleven years and retired from General Electric. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown where he served in many capacities, chairman of the Deacons, building and maintenance supervisor and the member of the Jimmy Camp Sunday School Class.

Mr. Gray is survived by his loving wife, Mrs. Mary Anne Simpson Gray; son, Dennis Gray and his wife Sandi; three grandchildren, Daniel Gray, Anna Gray and Mark Reeves and three great-grandchildren, Dawson Cleland, Andrew Gray and Kalli Cleland.

Mr. Gray is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.T. and Aline Pierce Gray; son, Jessie Robert Gray and sister, Mary Doris Neal.

In keeping with Mr. Gray's wishes he was cremated. A memorial service for Mr. Gray will be conducted on Monday, April 25, 2011 at one o'clock in the afternoon at First Baptist Church in Cedartown with Dr. David Taylor and Dr. Jerry Mahan officiating.

Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.

The family of Mr. Gray will receive friends on Monday, April 25, 2011 at eleven o'clock in the morning until the funeral hour at First Baptist Church in Cedartown.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons and Jimmy Camp's Sunday School Class.
