Mrs. Virginia Mae Rowell of Cedartown passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015. She was born on January 29, 1923 in Covington, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Albert Booth and Irene Johnson. Mrs. Virginia Rowell was married to her husband, William Robert Rowell, Sr., for 75 years and was a member at Second Baptist Church.

Mrs. Virginia Mae Rowell is survived by her husband, William Robert "W.R." Rowell, Sr.; daughter, Brenda Hunt; son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Patti Rowell; sister-in-law, Margie Heard; niece, Jean McWilliams; nephews, Rev. Fred Rowell, and Ken Rowell; grandchildren, LaDalle Macgregor (Jeff), Brendan Hunt (Mary), Amber Jackson (Chad), and Abbye Rowell, and great-grandchildren, Auburn Hunt, Jack Hunt, Olivia Macgregor, Camden Jackson, and Kealin Jackson.

Mrs. Virginia Mae Rowell is preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law Al Hunt; and sister and brother-in-law Dessa and Tom Edge.

The funeral service for Mrs. Virginia Mae Rowell will be conducted on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Gammage Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Fred Rowell officiating, followed by a graveside service led by Reverend Grady McDonald. Mrs. Rowell will be interred in Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Virginia Mae Rowell will receive family and friends on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 1 o'clock in the afternoon until the service time at Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Chad Jackson, Jim McWilliams, Jeffrey Collier, Jake Collier, Bren Hunt, and Ken Rowell. Mrs. Rowell's Sunday school class at Second Baptist will serve as honorary pallbearers.
