Mrs. Virginia Ruth Nicks, age 69, of Felton, Georgia passed away on Monday, March 9, 2009 at her residence.

She was born October 4, 1939 in Ellensburg, Washington, the daughter of James and Ruth McClure.

Some of her favorite activities were water skiing, hunting, fishing, and horses. These activities were enjoyed with her family and friends.

She was Secretary of the Western Horsemen of Oregon and Clairmont Riders Horse Club during her working with horses.

Mrs. Nicks is preceded in death by husband, Gary Nevil Nicks in March, 2008; parents, James and Ruth McClure; daughter, Shelly Nicks; grandson, Gregory Scott Miller.

Mrs. Nicks is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tracey Nicks and Thomas Smallwood; sisters, Karen Johnson, Barbara Wall, Laurie McClure, and Colleen Chaulkins; brother, James McClure, Jr.,; brother-in-law, Dewey Nicks of Salem, Oregon.. Grandson, Cotey Thomas Nicks also survives.

In carrying out Mrs. Nicks wishes, she was cremated. A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
