Mrs. Virginia Short Gormley, age 59, of Friendship Road, Cedartown she passed away Saturday, January 21, 2006. Mrs. Virginia Short Gormley was born in Polk County on September 25, 1946.

Mrs. Gormley is preceded in death by her father, Hershel Short.

Mrs. Gormley is survived by husband, George Al Gormley; mother, Mozell Welchel Short; sister, Betty Wheeler; brothers, Roy Short and Floyd Short; sister-in-law Betty Short; brother-in-law, Larry Wheeler; two step-daughters, Tracy Roberts and Sherry Pugh. Seven step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service for Mrs. Virginia Short Gormley will be conducted Wednesday, January 25th at 2:00PM in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Talmadge Pope officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 24th from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Willie Short, Gene Short, Dwayne Short, Scott Wheeler, Brian Wheeler and Larry Wheeler.
