Ms. Vassie Wells Cox, age 82, of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2014. She was born on March 25, 1932 in Bartow County, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late Willie J. Wells and Villa Mabel Martin Wells.

Ms. Cox is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Terry Patterson; son, David Cox; sister, Sara Woody; brother and sister-in-law, Harvey Wells and Carolyn; grandchildren, Jerrica and Matt Patterson, Matthew and Katie Hensley; Chris Cox, Katelyn Cox and Mason Cox and great-grandchild, Radek Hensley.

Ms. Cox is preceded in death by her; parents; husband, Rev. Gerald Cox; son, Mike Cox and brothers, Albert Wells, Lewis Wells and William Wells.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Cox will be conducted on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at eleven o'clock in the morning at the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Joel A. Smith and Rev. Jeff Pilgram officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Cox will receive family and friends on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from seven o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Matt Patterson, Matthew Hensley, Chris Cox, Mason Cox, Carl Redding, Timmy Thompson, Jay Evans and Jared Beck. Honorary Pallbearer will be Joe Kelley.

Flowers are being omitted; however, donations can be made to the Southside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 478, Cedartown, GA 30125.
