Mr. Tommie E. Overstreet, age 81, of Cedartown, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2007. He was born December 20, 1925 in Morgan County, Alabama, the son of the late Oden Delony and Leola Gertrude Williams Overstreet.

After retiring from the United States Air Force, Mr. Overstreet was employed and later retired from Lockheed-Martin.

Mr. Overstreet is preceded in death by his wife, Jonnie Lou Overstreet; his parents; sister, Vivian Patterson and brother, Alvin Overstreet.

Family members that are surviving are sons, Wesley Overstreet of Milledgeville, Georgia, Robert Eugene Overstreet of Houston, Texas; brothers, Joseph B. Overstreet and James Howard Overstreet. Three grandchildren, one great grandchild and a very special friend, Ruth Colbert also survives.

The funeral service for Mr. Tommie Overstreet will be conducted on Thursday, December 13, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. John Darnell officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 12, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Steve Overstreet, Tony Overstreet, Chris Overstreet, Tim Overstreet, Jeff Overstreet, and Brandon Price.
