Mr. Thomas Leroy Williamon, age 88, of Fayetteville, GA, formerly of Cedartown, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012. He was born on November 11, 1923 in Calhoun County, Alabama to the late Mr. William Roy Williamon and Mrs. Callie Lois Baker Williamon.

Mr. Williamon was a veteran having proudly served in the United States Army. He later retired from Delta Airlines and also owned and operated Lee's Day Care in Riverdale, Georgia for 18 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. E. Lee Sloman Williamon; daughter, Janice Lee Williamon; sister, Betty Williamon Cummings; and brother, Robert Donald Williamon.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas A. "Tony" and Judy Williamon and Jeffrey Roy and Kelly Williamon all of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Kim and Chuck Turner, Wendi and Kyle Bailey, Casey Williamon, Lauren Williamon, and Quinn Williamon; great grandchildren, Whitney Bailey, Cole Bailey, Dakota Turner, and Shiloh Turner. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, January 16th at 1:30PM in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn McClain officiating. Interment will follow in Polk Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 16th from 11:00AM until 1:30PM at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

Chuck Turner, Cole Bailey, Butch Williamon, Lee Dollar, Whit Beall, Cole Turner, Bobby Williamon, and Clint Cummings will serve as Pallbearers

Flowers will be accepted however, donations can be made to Kenwood Baptist Church, Fayetteville, GA 30214
