Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Diamond, age 74, of Collinsville, Mississippi passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020 at the Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. He is preceded in death by his parents Mr. Guy W. and Elizabeth Diamond; and an infant sister, Margie Diamond.
Tommy was born and raised in Cedartown, Georgia and was a graduate of the Cedartown High School class of 1963. Tommy married the love of his life in 1969 and went on to graduate from West Georgia University in 1973. Tommy was also a die-hard Georgia Bulldog Fan. He began his banking career at Liberty National Bank in Cedartown in 1967 and retired after 46 years in 2013 at Trustmark Bank in Meridian, MS. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Tommy was also a member of the Meridian Optimist Club for many years.
Tommy is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 50 years, Janice Davis Diamond; special friends, Joyce Neal, Willie Mae Logan, Audrey and Larry DuPont, Gina Wooten, Jackie and Marvis Killingsworth, and Doris Lanham; his special cat, "Scooter"; as well as a host of extended family and friends
A Graveside Service for Mr. Diamond will be conducted on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at 1:00 in the afternoon at Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.
The family of Mr. Thomas "Tommy" Diamond will receive family and friends in Cedartown on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm at the Gammage Funeral Home. Also, the family will receive friends in Meridian Mississippi on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Barham Family Funeral Home.
