Mrs. Thelma Faye Atkins Cagle, age 91, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011. She was born on September 16, 1919 in Rockmart. She was the daughter of the late Homer and Callie Cook Atkins.
Mrs. Cagle was a beloved, longtime member of the Union Grove Baptist Church where she attended the Ladies Adult Sunday School Class and was also a member of the Senior Citizens Singing Group.
Mrs. Cagle is survived by her sons and their wives, Jimmy and Debra Cagle of Jay, Florida, Buddy and Doris Cagle of Lindale, Gerald and Shirley Cagle of Cedartown; daughter-in-law, Barbara Cagle of Cedartown; grandchildren, Conda Sasser, James Cagle, Jeff Cagle, Lisa McKellar, Andrea Cantrell, Kristi Cagle; seven great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Cagle is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Cagle; her parents; son, Gary Cagle and several brothers and sisters.
The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Cagle will be conducted on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Hoyt Lewis and Rev. Anthony Osborn officiating.
Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Cagle will receive friends on Friday, September 16, 2011 from six o'clock until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are James Cagle, Jeff Cagle, Sean Watford, John Watford, Randall Atkins and Tommy Atkins.
