Ms. Sylvia Duke Smith, age 75, of Snellville, GA, formerly of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011. She was born on December 5, 1935 in Aragon, GA; she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. O.W. and Imogene Grogan Duke.

Ms. Smith is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Carl Clark Smith, Jr. and Maria; daughter and son-in-law, Carla Ann Smith Sutherland and David; grandchildren, Andrew Smith, Ryan Smith, Lyn Sutherland, Christy Sutherland and Tyler Sutherland; three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Ms. Smith is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Carl Clark Smith, Sr.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Smith will be conducted on Sunday, October 16, 2011 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Mr. Butch Grogan officiating.

Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Smith will receive family and friends on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Howard Tanner, Randy Grogan, Michael Rowell, Don Tanner, Ryan Smith and Andrew Smith.
