Staff Sergeant Talmadge Doyle Jarrell, U.S. Air Force, (retired), 74, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. He was born May 27, 1932 to parents Jacob Red Jarrell and Mary Elizabeth Strickland Gentry.
Mr. Jarrell retired from the United States Air Force where he served during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jacob Eugene Jarrell; and sister, Lois Virgina Earwood.
Staff Sergeant Talmadge Doyle Jarrell, U.S. Air Force, (retired) is survived by wife, Gwyndolyn Marie Bell Jarrell; son and daughter-in-law, David DuWayne Jarrell and Donna Jarrell; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Gail Knight and Ricky Knight, Brenda Kay Wright and Jimmy Wright, Cathy Marie Winkles and Frank Winkles, Lori Diane Parish and Darin Parish; brother, Ollie Wesley Jarrell; thirteen grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and eight step-great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service for Staff Sergeant Talmadge Doyle Jarrell,U.S. Air Force, (retired) will be conducted on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home. Officiating are Rev. Danny Rhodes and Rev. Delton Harne with Music Ministers, Jimmy and and Anne Wright.
Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery with full military rites being conducted by Robins Air Force Base Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends on Friday, May 25, 2007 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Edwin Jarrell, Jimmy Wright, Jr, Jonathan Parish, Doyle Winkles, Scott Jacobs and Bruce Guthrie.
Honorary Pallbearers are Dylan Parish and Jason Winkles.
