Ms. Silvina Hernandez Alvarez, age 68 of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2014. She was born on September 17, 1945 in Michoacan, Mexico to the late Silvestre Hernandez and Consepcion Alvarez.

Ms. Alvarez is survived by her daughters, Guadalupe Foneca, Rosa Fonceca, Belen Fonceca and Soledad Fonceca; sons, Angelo Fonceca and Froylan Fonceca; sisters, Teresa, Maria and Gracia; brothers, Reyes, Fransisco, Magdaleno and Felisiano; twenty-one grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Ms. Alvarez is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Criserio Fonceca; brother, Jeronimo Hernandez and great-great-grandchild, Abigail Barrera Salinas.

The funeral arrangements for Ms. Alvarez will be conducted on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at four o'clock in the afternoon at the St. Bernadette's Prayer Hall on S. College Street, with Father Jose Arellano- Diacono officiating. Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Ms. Alvarez will receive family and friends at Ms. Alvarezs' residence, 111 Robinson Road, Cedartown, GA 30125 on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from eleven o'clock in the morning until Sunday, May 11, 2014 at 3:30pm.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Juan Nunez, Jose Luis Hernandez, Jenaro Barrera, Manuel Cruz, Angelo Fonceca and Froylan Fonceca.
