Mrs. Shirley Mae Wheeler, age 88, passed away on Thursday, November 18, 2010. She was born on August 3, 1922, in Cedartown, Georgia.

Mrs. Wheeler was retired from Goodyear as an office manager. She was employed at Goodyear for over 35 years.

Mrs. Wheeler is survived by her loving husband, Buren Wheeler; step-daughter, Patricia Ann Bentley; step-son, Randy Wheeler and wife Monique; nieces, Susan Avey and Ellen; nephews Andy and Vicki Brown and Neal and Cathy Brown; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Wheeler is preceded in death by her mother, Myrtice Minton; first husband, David Brown; daughter, Brenda Parr; brother, Van Maroney and son-in-law, Jimmy Bentley.

The funeral service for Mrs. Wheeler will be conducted on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Smith and Rev. Neal Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in the Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Wheeler will receive friends on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 6-8 o'clock in the evening at Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers Mike Bentley, Brian Bentley, Barry Bentley, John Leachman, Josh Morrow and Andy Brown.
