Mrs. Shirley Mae Arp, age 66, of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010. She was born on March 15, 1944 in Haralson County, Georgia, to the late Mr. and Mrs. John Henry and Sally Victoria Davis Woody.

Mrs. Shirley Mae Arp worked for many years as a nurse at Cedar Valley Nursing Home and Rehab Center here in Cedartown.

Mrs. Shirley Mae Arp is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Harvey Arp; son, Terry Arp and wife Angie and Michael Arp and wife Marie; daughters, Betty Arp Clonts and husband Allen and Elaine Arp Garner and husband Chad; several siblings; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The funeral service for Mrs. Arp will be conducted on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at one o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. John and Rev. Joe Redding will be officiating.

Interment will follow in the family lot in Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Arp will receive friends on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 7-9pm at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Mark Arp, Brent Arp, Michael Schmidt, Christopher Clonts, Randy Arp and Tony Cushin.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mrs. Shirley Mae Arp.
