Mrs. Sherry Madeline Burns Williams, age 74 of Cedartown, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017. She was born on January 9, 1943 in Lindale, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William and Ethel Ledford Burns.
Mrs. Williams was a long time member of the Lake Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Williams is survived by her loving husband for 57 years, Mr. Clyde Buford Williams; daughters and son-in-laws, Christy and Barney Brown and Ann and Freddie Giles; sons and daughter-in-laws, Phillip and Angela Williams and Todd and Davina Williams; sisters, Glenda Rogers (Sweet Pea) and Mary West; brothers, Robert (Sonny) Burns, Terry Burns and Kenny Burns; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Sherry Madeline Burns Williams will be conducted on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at eleven o'clock in the morning in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Arp and Rev. Anthony Trawick officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family has respectfully requested that flowers are to be omitted and donations can be made to the St. Jude's Children Hospital, Palisades Office Park, 5901 Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Atlanta, GA 30328.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Phillip Williams, Todd Williams, Jacob Brown, Joey Giles, Christian Williams, Barney Brown, and Freddie Giles.
