Mr. Sherman Seals Sanders, age 73, of Cedartown, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012. He was born on September 3, 1939 in Polk County. He was the son of the late Mr. Joe and Mrs. Vera Sanders.


Mr. Sanders is survived by his daughters Tammy Thomas, Lori Ann Sanders, and Rhonda Sanders Allen; sister, Evelyn and Dean Goodsell; brothers, Dwight "Red" and Judy Sanders, Lowell and Rouzell Sanders, grandchildren, Tyler Thomas, Hannah Bell and Britney Allen.

Mr. Sanders is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sara Elaine Sanders; sisters, Agnes Winkles and Helen Cash; brothers, Ned Sanders and Edward Sanders.

The family of Mr. Sherman Seals Sanders will be receiving friends from six o'clock to eight o'clock in the evening on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Gammage Funeral Home. The Funeral will be held the following day, Monday, October 22, 2012 at 11 o'clock in the morning in the chapel at Gammage Funeral Home. Rev. Rouzell Sanders, Rev. Earl Partain, and Rev. Joey Sanders will be officiating the service.

Interment will follow at Northview Cemetery.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers; Jimmy Cash, Dustin Howard, Lee Moncrief, Jay Cruz, Anthony Poole, and Calvin Wade Bell. Honorary pallbearers are as follows: Brian Turner, Adam Wright, and Nicky Sanders.

The Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home is handling the arrangements for Mr. Sherman Seals Sanders.
