Mrs. Shelley Dianne Cates, age 23, of Cartersville, formerly of Cedartown, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2008. She was born November 28, 1984 in Carrollton, Georgia.
Family survivors include husband, Robert Christopher Cates; daughters, Lexus Cheyenne Cates and Sydney Jade Cates; mother and step-father, Rhonda and Tony Jamison; father and step-mother, Lorren and Lisa Roark; sister, Nikki Lane Jamison; brother, Christopher Lee Roark and Aaron Michael Roark; grandparents, Robert and Anne McLean and Janice Roark; step-grandparents, Bill and Brenda Hughes, Don and Hilda Glenn, Troy and Laura Jamison; great-grandparent, Sybil Brown.
The funeral service for Mrs. Shelley Dianne Cates will be conducted on Wednesday, February 27, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Dr. DeWayne New and Mr. Blake Jamison officiating. Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 26, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Darren Brown, Anthony Brown, Troy Jamison, Ricky Garrett, Paul Porter, Jason Wills, and Johnny Jamison.
A trust fund has been set up for Sydney and Cheyenne Cates. Contributions may be made to Unity National Bank, P. O. Box 200308, Cartersville, GA 30120.
Flowers will be accepted; however, donations may be made to American Cancer Society, Cervical and Breast Cancer Programs, 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd., N.W., Kennesaw, GA 30144.
