Mr. Seals T. "Pete" Glenn, Jr. age 75, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 after an extended illness. He was born November 21, 1934 in Polk County.


Mr. Glenn was retired with twenty-two years of service from the United States Navy with rank of Chief Petty Officer.


He is preceded in death by father, Seals T. Glenn, Sr.; brother, Richard Glenn; and nieces, Mary Dawn Campbell and Pamela Glenn.

Mr. Seals T. "Pete" Glenn, Jr. is survived by wife, of over fifty-one years, Hester Price Glenn; sons, Jon Glenn and Alan Glenn; granddaughter, Gabrielle "Gabby" Glenn; daughter-in-law, Ayn Glenn; mother, Jettie Geneva Anne Knight Glenn; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Dewayne Campbell; and several nieces and nephews, Dennis Campbell, Larry Campbell, Meka Benefield, Kiki Evans, Ricky Glenn, Debra Glenn, Richard Glenn, LaFaye Glenn, and Mark Glenn. Several great nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 16th, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The memorial service for Mr. Seals T. "Pete" Glenn, Jr. will be conducted on Friday, December 18th, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Anthony Trawick and Mr. Mike Rutledge officiating.

In keeping with his wishes, Mr. Glenn was cremated. The cremains will be intermed at Youngs Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Military rites to be conducted at the graveside by The American Legion Post #86 Honor Guard.
