Mr. Seals Douglas Oliver, age 71 of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014. He was born on May 5, 1943 in Polk County. He was the son of the late Tom Oliver and Marie Summerville Bridges.

Mr. Oliver was an United States Marine Veteran.

Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife, Betty Adams Oliver, daughters and son-in-laws, Karen and Randy Guttery, Janene and Scott Welchel and Jaime Oliver and Chip Carroll; sons and daughter-in-law, Greg Oliver, Rodney Oliver and Adam Oliver and Tamra; sisters, Frances Robinson and Glenda Nettles; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Oliver is preceded in death his parents; daughter, Angela Oliver; sons, Brian Oliver and Brad Oliver and brothers, Cecil Oliver, Harvey Oliver, James Oliver, Tigner Oliver, Hubert Oliver and Nelson Oliver.

In keeping with Mr. Oliver's wishes he was cremated. A memorial service for Mr. Oliver will be conducted on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at two o'clock in the afternoon at the Cedartown Church of God with Rev. Keith Powers officiating.
