Mr. David Scott "Scottie" Ray, age 42 of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023.  He was born on November 27, 1980 in Atlanta, GA. He was the son of Denny Hartness and Renay Vaughn.

Scottie is survived by his wife, Linda Ray; sons, Damon Ray and Landyn Ray; honorary daughters, Brittney Brand and Taylor Spann;  grandchildren, Tegan, J.T., Javier and Ezra; mother, Renay Vaughn; father, Denny Hartness; father figure, Alvin Tant; sister, Angie McCleskey; brother, John Boy Flanagan; nephews, Joshua Wells, Levi Wells and Kyle Flanagan; mother and father-in-law, Essie and Donald Timms; sister and brother-in-law, Mandi and Randy Wells; aunts, uncles, cousins and several brothers and sisters in Christ also survive. He was loved by so many!

Scottie is preceded in death by his sisters, Stephanie Ray and Jenna Ray; and brother, Kevin Vaughn.

The funeral service for Mr. David Scott "Scottie" Ray will be held on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at three o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Josh Nichols officiating.  In keeping with Mr. Ray's wishes, he will be cremated after the funeral service.

The family of Mr. Ray will receive family and friends on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral service hour.
