Mr. Saul Issac Pope, age 73, of Cedartown, Georgia passed away on suddenly on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Florida. He was born on January 12, 1942 in Haralson County, Georgia. He lived most of his life in Cedartown.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alexine (Zene) Pope; three children, Laura Pope, Jeff Pope and Colleen Logan; four grandchildren, Lewis Williams, Rebecca Logan, Alissa Logan and Matthew Logan; brother, Rev. Talmadge Pope and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Iona (Strickland) Pope and brothers, Harrison Pope and Arthur (AD) Pope.

Saul served his country in the US Air Force. He worked for Rome Plow Company for 27 years and at the time of his death he was a loved an trusted employee of the Simmons Engineering Company of Dallas, Georgia for 22 years traveling through out the world with the company..

At Saul's request his body will be cremated and his ashes will be buried in the family plot at Popular Spring Church in Haralson County with no formal service.
