Mrs. Sarah Lee Redden, age 92, of Cedartown, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2016. She was born on March 2, 1924 in Felton, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late William and Wealthy Tuck Lee.
Mrs. Redden is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Parr (Don) and Edith Threadgill (Danny); son, John L. Redden, Jr.; nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Mrs. Redden is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mr. John L. Redden, Sr.; sons, James Howard Redden and infant, Michael Redden; sisters, Mary Carnes and Clara Welchel; brothers, Ed Lee, Carl Lee, JB Lee, Allen Lee and CW Lee and grandsons, Barry White and Bart Randall Threadgill.
The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Sarah L. Redden will be conducted Thursday, November 10, 2016 at eleven o'clock in the morning in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Parris officiating. Interment will follow in the Cave Spring Cemetery.
The family of Mrs. Redden will receive family and friends on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Ronnie McElheney, Ray Ballard, Pewee Welchel, Lewis Welchel, Jon B. Ergel and Brandon McNeal. Honorary pallbearers will be Mrs. Redden's great-grandchildren.
