Mrs. Sarah Cleo Dyer passed away Monday, March 17, 2008. Mrs. Dyer was born August 24, 1923 in Polk County. She was a member of Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Lillian Atha Shiflett; sisters, Mrs. Mildred Chadwick, Mrs. Mozelle Satterfield, Virginia Shiflett; brother, Marion Shiflett, Jr; grandson, Brian Kelley Timms and her husband of fifty-three years, Jimmy H. Dyer.
Family surviving include daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Dyer Timms and Coye Timms; daughter, Becky Maxwell; son Alan Dyer; grandchildren, Melissa Johnson, Kevin Timms, Bridget Maxwell, Lauren Timms; great grandchildren, Dustin Clark, Erika Johnson, Hailey Pulliam; great-great grandchild, Trantham Canania.
The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, March 19 at 2:00 PM at Anna Kresge United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Kulp and Rev. John Giglio officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Kevin Timms, Keith Parker, Gary Chadwick, Dustin Clark, Michael Chadwick, Danny O'Neal, and Bob Temple.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 18, from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the Gammage Funeral Home
Flowers will be accepted, however, donations may be made to Anna Kresge United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 15 Booger Hollow Rd., Cedartown, GA 30125.
