Mrs. Sarah Ann Davis Ray, age 67, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010. She was born on February 13, 1943 in Cedartown, Georgia to the late J. P. and Lois Ann Glass Davis.

Mrs. Ray was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown. She was also an elementary school teacher and will be remembered by her former students as a loving and caring teacher.

Mrs. Ray is survived by her husband, Ron Ray; sons, Ron Ray Jr.(Sherri) and Scott Ray (Kristi); sisters, Janice Lambert (Gene) and Ivanette Free (Jim); brother, James Davis (Judy); and grandchildren, Savannah Ray, Michaela Ray, Tyler Ray, and Nathan Ray.

The funeral service for Mrs. Sarah Ann Davis Ray will be conducted on Tuesday July 13, 2010 in the First Baptist Church Sanctuary at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. David Taylor and Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday July 12, 2010 at the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Pallbearers are Jeff Davis, Tony Davis, Jason Free, Jim Free, Sid Lambert, and Jim West.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 720, Cedartown, GA 30125 or to the Anna Kresge Memorial United Methodist Church Building Fund, 15 Booger Hollow Rd., Cedartown, GA 30125 or to the church of your choice in memory of Mrs. Sarah Ann Davis Ray.
