Ms. Sandra Jane Garrett Nichols, age 61, of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2012. She was born on October 5, 1950 in Rockmart, Georgia.
Ms. Nichols was a beloved member of Second Baptist Church and an employee of Newark Paperboard Products.
Ms. Nichols is survived by her mother, Ms. Dorothy "Dot" Lipham Garrett; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Doug Racine; son and daughter-in-law, Shane and Ashley Nichols; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Winston Cook; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Terry and Shelby Nichols and four grandchildren, Drew Vann, Austin Vann, Gabby Racine and Whitnee Nichols. Also surviving are a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Ms. Nichols is preceded in death by her father, Mr. Albert Garrett and husband, Mr. Derrell Rance "Derry" Nichols.
The funeral arrangements for Ms. Jane Nichols will be conducted on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at four o'clock in the afternoon in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Heaton and Rev. Patrick Latham.
Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens with Rev. Joey Hatchell officiating.
The family of Ms. Nichols will receive family and friends on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from six o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Shane Nichols, Drew Vann, Austin Vann, Pete Hutchins, Cody Nichols, Brad Cook, Ryan Remsen and Doug Racine.
Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Nichols, Winston Cook, Gabby Racine and Whitnee Nichols.
Flowers are being accepted; however, donations can be made to the Tony E. Warren, Harbin Clinic Oncology Center, 1825 Martha Berry Blvd., Rome, GA 30165.
