Mr. Samuel A. Oxenreider, age 79, of Felton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010. He was born March 13, 1931 in Chariton, Iowa. He is preceded in death by parents, Cleo Omar Oxenreider and Mable Lorraine Hickman Oxenreider and a daughter, Laura Oxenreider.

After serving in the United States Navy, he joined the Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Korean War.

Mr. Oxenreider was owner of Southeastern Rubber Company in Felton.

Mr. Oxenreider is survived by wife, Mildred Lorraine Hollingshead Oxenreider; daughters, Kelly Cramer, Darcy Morris, Ava Smith; sons, Samuel C. Oxenreider, George P. Oxenreider, Michael A. Oxenreider, Joseph A. Oxenreider, Mark C. Oxenreider; sister, Patty Sue Clemons; brother, Michael J. Oxenreider. Seventeen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren also survive.

The funeral service for Mr. Samuel A. Oxenreider will be conducted on Saturday, June 5th, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Grove officiating.

Mr. Oxenreider will be taken to Lacona, Iowa for burial in the Cochran Cemetery on Tuesday, June 8th , with military honors being conducted at graveside.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 4th, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The family requests that flowers be omitted; however, memorial contributions can be made
to First Presbyterian Church, 314 W. John Hand Rd., Cedartown, GA 30125.
