Ms. Ruth Benfield Vincent, age 89, of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. She was born on June 30, 1922 in Cedartown; she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter and Stella Austin Benfield.

Ms. Vincent is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Judy V. Buckner and John; two grandchildren, Karen Heykens, of Jacksonville, FL and Sharon Whitfield of Williamsburg, VA and six great-grandchildren.

Ms. Vincent is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar Craton "O.C" Vincent; sister, Margaret Davenport and brothers, C.V. Benfield, Jasper Benfield and J.T. Benfield.

The funeral for Ms. Vincent will be conducted on Sunday, July 31st at three o'clock in the afternoon at The First Baptist Church of Cedartown with Rev. Wayne Benefield officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from two o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour at The First Baptist Church.

The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers; Kevin Bergen, John Stone, Joe Farrar, Julius Davenport, Michael Heykens and Chris Whitfield.
