Mrs. Phylice Ruth Carr Morton, age 76 of Cedartown, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016. She was born on September 18, 1939 in Piedmont, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Wade and Pearl Bridges Carr.

Mrs. Morton is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Morton; parents and a number of brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Morton is survived by her sons, Barry Carter, Marty Carter and Joey Morton; a special niece, Carol Carter Tillery; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Morton was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
