Mrs. Ruth Wilkerson McKelvey, age 91, of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2010. She was born May 27, 1918 in Cedartown, Georgia, the daughter of Willie and Bama Burkhalter Wilkerson.

Mrs. Ruth McKelvey is survived by her sons and daughter-in-laws, Pat McKelvey, Jr. & Joan, Van McKelvey & Andrea, Tim McKelvey & Kathy; five grandchildren, Chris McKelvey and wife Kelley, Scott McKelvey, Ryan McKelvey, Lacey McKelvey, Brittney McKelvey; and two great grandchildren, Chandler McKelvey, and Campbell McKelvey. Many nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Pat Rhodes McKelvey.

The funeral service for Mrs. Ruth McKelvey will be conducted on Sunday, May 2nd, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. McKelvey's body will lie in state for one hour at the church prior to the service.

The family will receive friends on Saturday May 1st from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.

Chris McKelvey, Ryan McKelvey, Scott McKelvey, Lee Wilkerson, Greg Wilkerson, Zachary Zimmerman, and Gary Zimmerman will serve as Pallbearers.
