Mrs. Ruby Faye Murphy, age 72, of Cedartown, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014. She was born on April 18, 1941 in Cedartown. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Jack Johnson and Mrs. Ollie Beatrice Cooley Johnson.

Mrs. Murphy is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Laura & Marvin Fuller and Debra Faye & Kenneth Wesley Martin, Jr. ; sons, Howard E. Murphy, William R. Murphy, Mark W. Murphy; sisters, Betty Dawson, Martha Reed, Jeanette Moncrief, Annie Hendreix, and Mary Hall; brother, Bobby Johnson; 11 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Murphy is preceded in death by her husband, Howard Emmett Murphy;parents; daughter, Myra Jean Johnson; and brother, Timothy Johnson.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Murphy will be conducted on Monday, March 24, 2014 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the Gammage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Coffman officiating. Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Murphy will receive family and friends on Sunday, March 23, 2014 from six o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Jason Costlow, Terry Murphy, Gary Camp, Adam Johnson, Thomas Ballew and Jessie Baker.
