Mrs. Ruby Carnes Anderson, age 69 of Cedartown, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016. She was born on January 4, 1947 in Cedartown, Georgia. She was the daughter of the late W. B. Carnes and Margaret Allen Carnes.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband, Verbon Anderson; daughters and son-in-law, Teresa and Randy Womack and Erica Shelley; sister, Janet Smith; brothers and sister-in-laws, Bunyan and Jean Carnes, Bobby and Carol Carnes and Boyd Carnes and 5 grandchildren.

Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Jacob Noah Strickland.

The funeral arrangements for Mrs. Ruby Carnes Anderson will be conducted on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at two o'clock in the afternoon at New Etna Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Thomas, Rev. Sammy Pointer and Rev. Randy Meeker officiating. Mrs. Anderson will lie in state at New Etna Baptist Church from one o'clock in the afternoon until the funeral hour. Interment will follow at Northview Cemetery.

The family of Mrs. Anderson will receive family and friends on Monday, February 29, 2016 from six o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Austin Dentmon, Terry Dentmon, Tyler Swindall, Glenn Hamrick, Wade Boling, and Edgar Tant. Honorary pallbearers will be Wendal Early, Danny Crawford, Jeff Thomas, J.B. Camp, and Tommy Floyd.
