Mr. Roy Preston Strickland, age 75, of Rockmart, Georgia, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2020.  He was born on November 1, 1944 in Cedartown, Georgia.  He was the son of the late James Preston and Josie Irene Miller Strickland.

Mr. Strickland is survived by his wife, Patricia Mull Strickland; daughters, Stacy Leigh Strickland and Pamela Lynn Jones (Matt); son, Steve Preston Strickland (Aimee); grandchildren Scott Kennedy (Aletha), Stuart Jones (Erica), Arysta Strickland, Troy Strickland and Calysta Strickland; great grandson, Hunter Jones; sisters, Margie Elliott and Vera Summerville and brother, Danny Strickland.

Mr. Strickland is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Gloria Strickland Redden.

In accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines a private service will be held for Mr. Strickland's immediate family.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Tommy Smith, Ronnie McElheney, Terry Elliott, Tracy Elliott, Dan Strickland and Ray Ballard.

Interment will follow in the Polk Memory Gardens.
