Mr. Roy Eugene Short, age 69 of Cedartown, passed away on Tuesday, March 04, 2014. He was born on August 9, 1944 in Cedartown.

Mr. Short is survived by his mother, Mozell Welchel Short; sons, Willie Short and Gene Short; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Mr. Short is preceded in death by his father, Hershel Short; wife, Betty Ann Davis Short; sisters, Virginia Gormley and Betty Jean Wheeler and brother, Floyd Short.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Short will be conducted on Thursday, March 6, 2014 at two o'clock in the afternoon in the chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Wormy Wiseman officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family of Mr. Short will receive family and friends on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from six o'clock in the evening until eight o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.

The follow gentlemen will serve as pallbearers; Scott Wheeler, Brian Wheeler, Wesley Williams, Herbert Sisson, Tyler Deaton and Marty Short.
