Mr. Roy Lee Mitchell, Sr. age 71 of Cedartown, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015. He was born on September 7, 1943 in Anniston, Alabama. He was the son of the late John Mitchell and Ida Wolfe Mitchell.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his daughters, Penny Charlene Mitchell, Candy Faye Mitchell, Sandy Renee Mitchell, Wendy Ann Mitchell and Michelle Lee Mitchell; sons, Roy Lee Mitchell, Jr. and Christopher Rodney Mitchell; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Mitchell is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Tavie Lott, Audrey Russell, Bonnie Mitchell and Martha Mitchell and brothers, John Mitchell, Oscar Mitchell and Claude Lee Mitchell.

The funeral arrangements for Mr. Mitchell will be conducted on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at three o'clock in the afternoon (Central Time) at Eulaton Baptist Church in Anniston, Alabama. The body will lie in state at the church two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in the Eulaton Cemetery in Anniston, Alabama.

The family of Mr. Mitchell will receive family and friends on Monday, February 16, 2015 from seven o'clock in the evening until nine o'clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home.
