Mr. Roscoe Coley, Jr. age 82, of Piedmont, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, September 26, 2010. He was born January 10, 1928 in Opp, Alabama.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy proudly serving during World War II.

Mr. Coley is preceded in death by wife, Rosie Mae Cheeks Coley; parents, Roscoe Coley, Sr. and Nettie Sigler Coley; sisters, Pauline Coley, Oderine Coleman and Ethel Frith; brother, J. W. Coley; great-granddaughter, Jessica Hope Parris.

Mr. Roscoe Coley, Jr. is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Wayne Shelley, Louise and Barry Williamson, Cindy and Robert Stephens; grandchildren, Tammy Parris, Kevin Layne, Stacey Holcomb, Brandy Trammell, Jada Stephens, Joey Stephens; great-grandchildren, Joshua Parris, Jamie Parris, Matthew Layne, Andrew Layne, Kaylie Stephens; great-great-grandchildren, Hunter Parris, Hayden Parris, Brooklyn Layne; special "mother" (Granny), Lula Mae Porter. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and other family members.

The funeral service for Mr. Roscoe Coley, Jr. will be conducted on Tuesday, 28th, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time/2:00 p.m. Central, at the Borden Springs, Alabama church of Christ with preacher, Kenneth Jones officiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery in Borden Springs. American Legion Post #86 Honor Guard will conduct military rites.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 27th, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time/6:00 – 8:00 Central at the Olin L. Gammage & Sons Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Kevin Layne, Joey Stephens, Joshua Parris, Steven Parris, Chad Trammell, and Steve Holcomb.
